Features of the site
Heather McLeod established Integrated Healing in 1998 as a vehicle for providing consulting services in healthcare financing. Her involvement has since extended to other forms of social security.
The web-site has a collection of articles, chapters in books and reports prepared or co-authored by Heather that are in the public domain. Slide presentations used at conferences are also available.
The web-site serves to provide access to resources on a number of topic areas for academics, students and researchers. There is a particular focus on healthcare reform in South Africa and National Health Insurance.
A growing focus for the web-site will be access to material on the integration of Traditional, Complementary and Alternative Medicine (TM/CAM) in healthcare financing.
National Health Insurance in South Africa. Historic material, policy briefs and links to current material.
Resources on risk equalisation in South Africa, including tables.
Traditional, Complementary and Alternative Medicine (TM/CAM) policy around the world.
TM/CAM resources in specific regions.

The Integrated Healing logo has its inspiration in the symbol for balance in Chinese medicine and philosophy: yin and yang: dark and light, feminine and masculine in balance.
This version has three inter-locking and inter-dependant elements, reminiscent of Hindu philosophy. Here they represent not Brahma, Vishnu and Siva, but Body, Mind and Soul.
I recently discovered the similarity to the Gankyil symbol which is a teaching tool of Dzogchen in Tibetan Buddhism.
